Another Step Closer

Today Max befriended the person who came and bought my wicker chairs, bookshelves and one of the two ottomans. She seemed very impressed with Max's welcome wagon. The buyer didn't even dicker on the price and left the one ottoman behind so Max could continue to look out the window.

Thanks, Max!

  1. Julie, didn't realize you were going on a road trip! Wonderful! I went on a road trip down the Mississippi River for two weeks in 2007. Stayed with friends, in a convent, on a tugboat. As a woman traveling alone, I like bed & breakfasts, in small towns they are cheaper than hotels and so much nicer. Some take pets. I had GPS on my phone for a short time, only used it once but it was nice to have. I made CDs for the trip. And then wrote about it and got my story published in "2009 Best Women's Travel Writing". That wasn't planned but it was very cool, anyway. I'll try to think of any more trips. Have you seen the books by maira kalman about her dog, Max? Later, Nancy

  2. That would be WAY cool to stay in a convent and on a tugboat! I feel better having Max along because he is always on high alert...he's very friendly as a general rule, but there have been times when someone who made me nervous came up and his body language changed dramatically and the person went away.

You wrote about the trip or the CDs? I would love to see the article -- do you have a link?

I bought a couple of non fiction books on CD...you know, the books you buy cuz you think you should read them, but you never get around to it?
